Exploring Cannabis & Exercise
Where the anecdotes meet the data with Dr. Whitney Ogle.
Exploring Cannabis & Exercise
Pain, Eating, and Recovery in MMA with Dupree Stewart
This was actually the first interview I ever conducted! Dupree was a student of mine at Humboldt State University and he is now an amateur MMA fighter. We talked about our shared strict backgrounds as young athletes, the culture of weed in MMA and UFC, and using weed to help manage pain, improve appetite (after years of weight cutting), his use of weed to help with recovery from training, and when he doesn't use cannabis with his training or in preparation for competition.
Oh - and he also blew my mind by telling me about the High Rollerz - a cannabis-infused martial arts competition - so I hope this is the first of many more conversations with folks in the martial arts community!

**Friendly reminder/disclaimer** I am not suggesting everyone use cannabis with exercise. Cannabis is definitely not for everyone. But if you're curious about your own use, understanding more about why people use cannabis with exercise, or want to learn about the latest research in the field, you're in the right place. Make good choices out there.
